VULVAS, 2021
The plaster burned vulva sculptures are an art installation that represents the pain and trauma experienced by women who have been sexually abused. The burn marks symbolize the physical and emotional pain that has been inflicted upon them. The goal is to bring attention to the often overlooked problem of sexual abuse and the lasting impact it can have on victims. In creating these sculptures, the main goal was to start a conversation about the need for more support and resources for survivors of sexual assault.
